Cooking Tips:

  1. Soak overnight in cold milk
  2. Add a pinch of salt
  3. Add some cinnamon and/or some vanilla
  4. Next morning: slowly bring to the boil, reduce heat, cover, and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. (If the oats appear dry, add more milk as required)
  5. Sweeten with honey

Garnish with:

  • seasonal fresh fruit: raw or roasted
  • dried fruit
  • nuts: almonds, cashews, walnuts, pistachios, pecans
  • nut butter: peanut, cashew, almond
  • fruit compote

Leftover oatmeal can be stored in the fridge for 3 days and can be reheated in the microwave (it might need an extra splash of milk).
